Diablo 2 remake - curse of tristram10/26/2023 The UI is mostly taken from D2, same with sounds. I'm a bit shocked that it has taken this long for the mod. D2 made geeking out on stats fun, which is something I've not done since. That is the level of complexity that other games haven't really hit. The actual thought process of figuring out if you needed 2 more dex or could roll vit, the sheer efficiency in hitting 75% block rate without a single wasted point, the process of discovering if +3 to a synergy and +1 to all yielded higher dmg output than +2 to all, etc. Complexity doesn't come from random items and higher difficulties of creatures, as D3 stands to be a shining example of. The stats, breakpoints, etc, were a major part and without them it's just a kind of nostalgic bit of art.ĭ2 was huge because of its complexity. Yeah, props for the hard work, but unfortunately this does not encapsulate what D2 was for a lot of people. New tier of item (Mythic) Normal > Magical > Rare > Unique/Set > Mythic, Only found on Mythic difficulty.3 Difficulty Modes (Normal, Heroic, Mythic). This is explained in the video down below.Įgod123, the mod's creator, is about to release the cow level with the latest patch, and act 2 is going to follow a little bit after this. This is made using starcraft 2's engine, and as starcraft 2 is free to play, so is this mod. This is a remake Of Diablo 2, and because of this, some things are slightly different.
